  1. Remove the engine oil pan prior to installation of the engine into the chassis. This is necessary in order to allow clearance for installation of the engine.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to engine (58). The weight of engine (58) is approximately 1270 kg (2800 lb). Install engine (58) into position.

  1. Connect the engine to the main pump coupling.

  1. Use Tooling (C) and suitable cribbing in order to support main hydraulic pump (56). The weight of main hydraulic pump (56) is approximately 318 kg (700 lb). Install bolts (57) .

  1. Remove Tooling (C) and suitable cribbing.

  1. Install support (60). Install bolts (59) and (61). Tighten bolts (59) and (61 ) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft).

  1. Connect brackets (55) .

  1. Connect cable assemblies (53). Tighten cable assemblies to a torque of 31 ± 4 N·m (22 ± 3 lb ft). Connect clamp (54) .

  1. Connect harness assembly (50) onto bracket (51). Connect ground strap (52) .

  1. Connect harness assemblies (47). Connect clip (48). Connect harness assemblies (49) .

  1. Connect hoses (46). Move valves (45) to the ON position.

  1. Position hose (23). Connect hose (23). Connect clip (24) .

  1. Connect harness assembly (20). Connect cable assemblies (19), and (21). Tighten cable assembly (19) to a torque of 18 ± 2 N·m (13 ± 2 lb ft). Tighten harness assembly (20) to a torque of 4 ± 1 N·m (35 lb in). Connect clips (22) .

  1. Connect harness assembly (16A). Position refrigerant compressor (16). Install bolts (17). Move the belt tensioner counterclockwise in order to install belt (18). Install belt (18) .

  1. Position cover (11). Position support (13). Install bolts (14). Lower cover (11). Install bolts (12) .

  1. Install cover (7). Tighten bracket (8). Connect tube (6) and connect to cover (7).

  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to support (1). The weight of support (1) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Install support (1). Install bracket (2) .

  1. Move the fuel shutoff to the ON position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, " Fuel Tank Shutoff and Drain Control".

  1. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, " Cooling System Cooling (ELC) - Change".

End By:

  1. Install the oil Pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oil Pan - Install ".
  2. Install the muffler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Muffler - Install".
  3. Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Install".
