Fan - Remove and Install

Usage:

325C BKW

Removal Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure.

Steam can cause personal injury.

Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.

Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.

NOTICE

Do not allow the fan assembly to strike the radiator core during removal. Damage to the radiator core can result.

  1. Drain the coolant below the level of hose (1) into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Disconnect hose (1). Remove top fan guard (2) only.

  1. Remove bolts (3) and fan (4) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Position fan (4) and install bolts (3) .

  1. Install top fan guard (2). Connect hose (1) .

  1. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Level - Check".
