Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Attach a suitable lifting device to valve assembly (30). The weight of valve assembly (30) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb). Position valve assembly (30) and install bolts (31) .

- Connect bracket (29) to hydraulic tank (23). Repeat for the opposite side of hydraulic tank (23) .
- Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hydraulic tank (23). The weight of hydraulic tank (23) is approximately 268 kg (590 lb).

- Position hydraulic tank (23) and install bolts (28) .

- Connect tube (27) .

- Connect brackets (24) and (22). Install fitting (26). Connect hose assembly (25) .

- Install fittings (21) and (20). Connect hose assemblies (19), (18), and (17). Connect harness (16). Install new cable straps (14) to harness assembly (15) .

- Connect tubes (13), hose assembly (12) and harness assembly (11). Install new cable straps (10) to harness assembly (11) .

- Position harness assembly (8) and install new cable straps (7). Connect harness assembly (8) to clip (9) .

- Install plate (6) .

- Install covers (5), (4), and (3) .

- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
- Fill the hydraulic system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check". Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities".
