Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to main control valve (1). The weight of main control valve (1) is approximately 181 kg (400 lb).

  1. Position main control valve (1) .

  1. Install bolts (13) (not shown).

  1. Connect hose assemblies (12) to the main control valve.

  1. Connect lower hose assemblies (11) to main control valve (1) .

  1. Connect hose assemblies (10) into main control valve (1) .

  1. Connect upper hose assemblies (9) into main control valve (1) .

  1. Connect hose assembly (8) .

  1. Connect harness assemblies (7) .

  1. Connect hose assemblies (6) .

  1. Connect five tube assemblies (2) into main control valve (1) .

  1. Install five tube assemblies (2) onto bracket (3) .

  1. Fill the hydraulic system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubrication Viscocities and Refill Capacities".
