New Bolts and Torque for Securing the TOPS {7325}
- Mini-Hydraulic Excavators:
- 301.5 (PIN: 3YW)
- 301.6 (PIN: BDH)
- 301.8 (PIN: BFA)
Use the 096-9259 Bolts (M14) to secure the Tip Over Protection Structure (TOPS) to the machine. The M14 bolts replace the former M16 bolts.
The new bolts are tightened to a torque of 80 ± 15 N·m (59.0 ± 11 lb ft).
The Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7152-02, "Tip-Over Protection Structure (TOPS) - Inspect" section on page 135 must also be changed. Replace the first paragraph with the following paragraph:
Inspect the Tip Over Protection Structure (TOPS) for bolts that are loose or damaged. Replace any damaged bolts and any missing bolts with original replacement parts only. Torque the M14 bolts to 80 ± 15 N·m (59.0 ± 11 lb ft), which are located on the floor in each corner inside the operator station.
