Air Inlet Manifold - Remove and Install

Usage:

3512 4DR

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the aftercooler.


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and the washers. Pry flanges (2) on the elbows away from the air inlet manifold. Each cylinder has one elbow for inlet air.

  2. Remove bolts (3).

  3. Attach suitable straps and a lifting device to air inlet manifold (4). The air inlet manifold weighs approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Remove air inlet manifold (4).

Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Attach suitable straps and a lifting device to air inlet manifold (4). The air inlet manifold weighs approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Lift the manifold into position on the engine.

  2. Install bolts (3).

  3. Use washers and bolts (1) to install flanges (2) for the elbows. Each cylinder has one elbow for inlet air.

End By:

  1. Install the aftercooler.
