PROBLEM
Side plate and side plate blocks can become misaligned on certain H75E S Hydraulic Hammers. This causes the bolts to yield and eventually fail. Symptoms include side plates that do not fit properly. Repetitive bolt failure is also an indication of this problem. |

In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 4% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer. |
ACTION REQUIRED
New side plates have been developed that include places for dowel pins to be installed next to all four of the side bolts. This will remove the potential side loading from the bolts. A new tapered bolt is also now used. The new bolt will aid in torque retention. Along with the new bolt, a flanged nut is now used. This new nut features a thread profile that will distribute the load over more threads of the bolt. This will also aid in torque retention. A new torque procedure is also being implemented as part of this change. Please refer to the Rework Procedure. |
