New harness (1) replaces the former 546-1154 Sensor Harness As in the power train wiring group.

New harness (1) is adaptable to the machines within the listed serial numbers, and is effective with all machines after the listed serial numbers.

Follow the below procedure to rework the existing 546-1154 Sensor Harness As.

  1. Disconnect rear wheel speed sensor connector (J).

  2. Cut two cable straps (C) near connector (J) as shown in Illustration 3.

  3. Remove two piece clips (D), grommets (E), and nuts (F) up to first harness breakout and save the parts. Refer to Illustration 3 and Illustration 5.

  4. Repeat Step 1 through Step 3 for the other side of sensor harness assembly (B).

  5. Remove connector (J) from sensor harness assembly (B).

  6. Attach liner (3) to both the ends of hose (4) as shown in Illustration 6.

  7. Slide hose (3) over the end of sensor harness assembly (B) as shown in Illustration 6.

  8. Slide 50 mm (2.0 inch) of heat shrink tube (2) over each end of liner (3) as shown in Illustration 6.

  9. Heat heat shrink tube (2) to secure it in the location as shown Illustration 6.

  10. Reassemble connector (J) to sensor harness assembly (B) as shown in Illustration 6.

  11. Repeat Step 5 through Step 10 for the other side of sensor harness assembly (B).

  12. Reconnect rear speed sensor connectors (J).

  13. Install two piece clip (D) and grommet (E) using nut (F) that were saved in step 3 as shown in Illustration 4 and Illustration 5.

  14. Secure sensor harness assembly (B) using two cable straps (5).

  15. Repeat Step 12 through Step 14 for the other side of sensor harness assembly (B).
