Only use this function for small designs that can be easily placed by the machine operator. The altered position of the design is stored in the file as an offset and is applied to the design whenever the file is opened.
Note: Files with this function cannot be used with older versions of the onboard software. The reference point to which the design is rotated can be set. If the reference point is not set, the point will be set by default. The point is set to the middle of the west end of the box surrounding the design.
Before a design can be moved into the onboard software, select the option in Cat MineStar that enables this feature in the design file.
Reference: Refer to Systems Operation, RENR9562, "Cat® Terrain Office Software".
"Design File Move Enable" - Enables the Move Design option in the onboard software menu.
Note: By default this option is turned off and the option to "Move Design" is hidden.
"Allow All Design File Moves" - Allows all files to be moved.
Note: Each file has a permission flag. This flag is like the change offset flag that allows operators to move a design. This setting will allow all files, including old designs, to be moved.
