Pump and Motor (Final Drive Lubrication)

The pump and motor for the final drive lubrication is on the front of the rear axle housing. | |
The motor for the pump is driven by hydraulic oil from the transmission. The pump circulates oil from the bottom of the rear axle housing through the rear axle oil filter and back to the pump. The pump returns the oil to the top of the axle housing for the differential and bevel gear drives.
