( 1 ) The top ring must be installed with the "UP-1" mark toward the top of the piston.
( 2 ) The intermediate ring must be installed with the "UP-2" mark toward the top of the piston.
( 3 ) The oil control ring and the ring expander must be installed with the gaps 180 degrees across from each other. The white colored portion of the ring expander must be visible through the oil control ring gap.
