Install the sensor into the flywheel housing until the tip of the sensor contacts one of the gear teeth. Then unscrew the sensor for 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn (180 to 270 degrees). Tighten the locknut to the specified torque.

- Torque ... 25 ± 5 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)
- Clearance between the sensor and the gear tooth ... 0.89 ± 0.15 mm (0.035 ± 0.006 inch)
