Problem

Front suspension group (1) 374-3464 U-Cup Seal

The charge in the strut is depleted when oil leaks out of the strut. High loads may act on the truck frame and suspension.

Solution

Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an interim repair has not been defined.

Replace with same part. Keep the 374-3464 U-Cup Seal, 149-0811 Wear Ring, 149-0812 Wear Ring, 149-0813 Wear Ring, and 347-1758 Wear Ring for "Send-It-Back" parts return request. When returning the part, label the part with a blue warranty tag. Write the seal part number, suspension group number, and part hours on the tag. For further information and questions contact:
