Autonomous Stop (A-Stop) System Caterpillar

The A-Stop transmitter is powered by a rechargeable, 1.2V (2300 mAh) NiMH battery which is charged using the port on the side of the transmitter. The transmitter charger ( 373-8621 Satellite Receiver Gp) will fully charge a fully depleted battery in approximately 2-4 hours. The charging will begin at a high rate charge followed by a top off charge. It is only recommended to charge the transmitter with the provided charger to avoid damage and/or reduced life of the battery or transmitter.

The transmitter sends signals at a 919 MHz fixed frequency to the A-Stop receivers within the transmitter operating range. Depending on conditions, the A-Stop transmitter has a range of approximately 180 m (590 ft) to 300 m (984 ft). The transmitter also has LED indicator lights for Stop, Clear, Test, Low Battery, Battery Charging, and Battery Fault functions. The transmitter will enter a power-saving sleep mode after 24 hours of inactivity or can be triggered manually.
