Removal Procedure

1. Rotate the upper structure by 90 degrees in relation to the undercarriage frame.

2. Position suitable wheel chocks at the tires and rims that are opposite the tire and rim that is being removed.

3. Position Tooling (A) as shown in Illustration 1 to raise the machine. Refer to Tool Operating Manual , NEHS1303 for more information on Tooling (A).

4. Attach a suitable lifting device to tire and rim assemblies (1). The weight of tire and rim assemblies (1) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb). Remove nuts (2) and tire and rim assemblies (1).

5. Deflate the tires.

6. Attach a suitable lifting device to tire and rim assembly (3). The weight of tire and rim assembly (3) is approximately 100 kg (225 lb). Remove bolts (4). Remove tire and rim assembly (3).

7. Use two people to remove ring (5) from tire and rim assembly (6). The weight of ring (5) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Install tire and rim assemblies (1) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten nuts (2) to a torque of 200 ± 20 N·m (148 ± 15 lb ft) in the order indicated in Illustration 4.

   2. Retighten nuts (2) to a torque of 450 ± 50 N·m (332 ± 37 lb ft) in the order indicated in Illustration 4.
