Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove draw bar

2. Remove main drive shaft.

3. Remove drive axles.

1. Drain the transmission. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Power Train Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedure.

2. Remove yoke (1) and plate (2).

3. Remove cover (3).

4. Disconnect hose assembly (4) and harness assembly (5).

5. Remove cover (6).

6. Attach Tooling (A) to transmission and bevel gears (7).

7. Remove bolts (8). Do not remove bolts (9).
   Show/hide table

8. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove transmission and bevel gears (7).

9. Slide transmission and bevel gears (9) out until transmission and bevel gears (7) rests on the stops. Place transmission and bevel gears (7) onto Tooling (C).

10. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (D). The weight of transmission and bevel gears (7) is approximately 847 kg (1867 lb). Remove transmission and bevel gears (7).

Installation Procedure

1. Install transmission and bevel gears (10) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 105 ± 20 N·m (77 ± 15b ft).
