MH3022, MH3024 and MH3026 Material Handlers Hydraulic System Caterpillar

The main hydraulic pump supplies oil to the main control valve. Pilot oil pressure from the pilot manifold is used by the joysticks to control the movement of the boom control spools in the main control valve. The boom control valve spools, in turn, direct the flow of the oil to the boom cylinders. The main control valve determines the direction and speed of the boom cylinders in proportion to the movement of the joysticks.

The boom system includes the following components:

• Boom main control valve spool

• Boom cylinder load control valve

• Boom hydraulic cylinder

• VA boom cylinder

• VA boom load control valve

• Hydraulic oil tank

• Main pump

• Pilot manifold

• Accumulators

• Smart boom control valve
