To select a Targets (*.csv) file on a wick hole excavator, complete these steps:
- Open the "Select Data Files" dialog using one of the following methods:
File Select - Touch the button.
Menu - Open the main menu and select "Files" > "Select".
- To set the required status, highlight the required Targets file.
The "Status" field as described in Table 1 shows the files that are currently set as either "Prime", "Active", or "On Mach".
Note: Only one file for a given type, such as Elevation Design or Targets, is designated as the "Prime" file. The Targets file that is "Prime" is used in the Plan, Target, Digital, and Profile windows.

"Active" Elevation Design files that are set as "Active" appear as a trace in the Profile window. "On Mach" "On Mach" status indicates that the file is available for selection on the machine. - Select "Change Status" to change the status.
- Select "OK".
The on-board software saves, closes, stores the existing file, and sends a copy of the file to the Terrain office software. Holes from the new file appear on the screen.
If there is no Targets (*.csv) file present on the machine, the message “No Target file active” appears on the Target window. The cross hairs do not appear on the Target window.
To resolve, complete one of the following:
- Ask the office to send a new Targets file.
- Create a new target, which also creates a new Targets file.
Create New Target - Select this button to show a new wick hole target at the implement position. |
To create a Targets file containing one hole, complete these steps:
- Select the Create New Target button. The "Error" dialog in Illustration 1appears.
- Select one of the following buttons:
Yes - The on-board software creates a Targets file called "target.csv". If an existing file with that name is present, the new file will be called "target1.csv".
No - Cancel the action.
- Verify that the new file appears on the "Select Data Files" dialog.
The file contains a hole at the position of the implement head.
