Introduction

The series of cycle time test that follow will be used to verify proper function of the hydraulic system. If any of these tests do not meet the specifications listed, further testing of the hydraulics for that function will be required.

Test Preparation

  1. Park the machine on a level surface.

Test Procedure

Grapple Cycle Time Test

  1. With the grapple in the closed position, press and hold the grapple open button. Record the time.

  1. With grapple in the open position, actuate the grapple close button. Record the time.

Main Boom Cycle Time Test

  1. With the stick extended and the boom retracted, actuate the boom to the full extend position. Record the time.

  1. With the stick extended and the boom extended, actuate the boom to the full retract position. Record the time.

Stick Cycle Time Test

  1. With the main boom in a 45° position, and the stick retracted, actuate the stick to the full extended position. Record the time.

  1. With the main boom in a 45° position, and the stick extended, actuate the stick to the full retracted position. Record the time.

Swing Cycle Time Test

  1. Articulate the machine to a counter clock-wise rotation. Record the time for one rotation.

  1. Articulate the machine to a clock-wise rotation. Record the time for one rotation.

Grapple Rotate Cycle Time Test

  1. Actuate the grapple rotate in the counter clock-wise direction. Record the time for one rotation

  1. Actuate the grapple rotate in the clock-wise direction. Record the time for one rotation

Stabilizer Cycle Time Test

  1. With the stabilizer in the stored position, extend the stabilizer to the full lift position. Record the time. Repeat this test for all four stabilizers.

  1. With the stabilizer in the full lift position, retract the stabilizer to the stored position. Record the time. Repeat this test for all four stabilizers.

Topping Saw Bar Test

  1. With the topping saw bar cylinder in the extended position, actuate the topping saw bar down. Record the time.

  1. With the topping saw bar cylinder in the retracted position, actuate the topping saw bar up. Record the time.
