This procedure is utilized to adjust the angles of the wheels so that wheels are parallel to each other. The purpose of this adjustment is so the machine tracks straight and true when traveling along a straight and level road. If the machine is out of alignment, the alignment can cause steering or tracking problems.

- Lower the left console.
- Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
- Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
- Lower the stabilizers and the blade tip.
- Fully extend the bucket cylinder and place the bucket on the ground.
- Stop the engine.
- Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.
Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
- Raise the left console.

Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.
Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.
To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.
- Use jack stands to support the machine and remove the wheels from the front axle. The front drive shaft must be removed from the machine.
Note: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Train" for further information.

(4) Mounting face of drive shaft - Center the piston of steering cylinder (1).
Note: The steering cylinder moves easily when the wheels are supported above the ground. Make sure that the piston is centered during the procedure.
- Measure the length of rod (3) on both sides of the cylinder.
Note: The piston is centered when both measurements are equal.

(F2) FT-2294 Alignment bar - Install alignment bar (F2) on stabilizer pad (2) on the front axle. Use square (F1) to ensure that alignment bar (F2) is perpendicular to the mounting face drive shaft (4) of front axle. Tighten the bolts on stabilizer pad (2).
- Place square (F1) on hub face (6).
- Use protractor (F3) to measure the angle between square (F1) and alignment bar (F2). The angle should be 90 degrees.
