Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
Certain F-series Backhoe Loaders that are fitted with two-way auxiliary hydraulic circuits may find that the one way / two-way diverter valve handle is mounted incorrectly.
- For two-way flow machines, the handle should be pointing straight down
- For one-way flow machines, the handle should be pointing to machine left (3 O'clock position)
Machines that are at fault will find that for one-way flow, the lever can only be moved to the machine right (9 O'clock position).
Solution
Note: You will not need to remove the valve from the machine. The valve can be fixed by removing the lever and gate washer only.
- Ensure that the machine is in a safe position and the implements are lowered to the ground. Ensure that the engine turned off before performing this work.
- Remove Bolt (B). Remove Lever (C) and Gate Washer (A) from the valve. Turn the gate washer through 180 degrees and reinstall. Reinstall Lever (C) and tighten Bolt (B) .
