A password protected service mode within the advisor software limits operators from configuring the security features. The Service mode protected options on the advisor will remain configurable until:
- Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) is removed
- The truck is key power cycled
Procedure
- Stop the truck.
- Verify that the truck body is empty
- Press the "OK" button.
The message area will show the target payload weight.
Note: NNN is the target payload weight. The weight is displayed in the selected units of measure (“English/Metric”).
Note: "YES" or "NO" will be displayed. To enable the LAST PASS indication, use the left/right arrow buttons to toggle the LAST PASS indicator to "YES". The continuous flashing of the red payload status lamps indicates that the truck is waiting for the last pass of the loading tool. The last pass indicates VIMSTM has estimated that the next pass is greater than 90 percent of the selected target weight.
- Press the "OK" button to accept the selection.
The message area will now show:
- Use the right/left arrows buttons to set the desired percentage.
The default setting is "0%".
The overload limit is:
- Adjustable from "105%" to "120%"
- Configurable in Cat ET
- Press the "OK" button to accept the value that is shown on the message center.
Note: The accuracy of the reweigh process will be affected if the haul road is in need of repair. A bad haul road may be indicated by a Fatigue Equivalent Load Analysis (FELA) value from the Road Analysis Control (RAC) of 1600 or greater. RAC is an optional feature for VIMS 3G.
