Plate (1) is arc welded to pin (2) on the new pin assembly. The arc welding reduces stress in the pin compared to inertia welding. The location of grease outlet (3) related to the plate is constant. The grease outlet is positioned 90 degrees off the top of the plate. The opening for the grease outlet is also relieved to prevent the outlet from clogging. The new pin will have improved service life in the field.

The new 425-0270 Pin As replaces the former 132-6650 Pin As in the truck body mounting groups listed in Table 1. The new 425-0270 Pin As is adaptable to the machines and, is effective in production with the machines listed in Table 1.
