Axle Housing, Axle Shaft, and Wheel Flange - Install

Installation Procedure

Note: Align the location marks that were made during the removal procedure.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device onto axle housing, axle shaft, and wheel flange (3) . The weight of axle housing, axle shaft, and wheel flange (3) is approximately 31 kg (68 lb). Position axle housing, axle shaft, and wheel flange (3) onto brake cylinder assembly (2) .

  1. Install bolts (1) . Tighten bolts (1) in the sequence shown to a torque of 123.5 ± 13.0 N·m (91.1 ± 9.6 lb ft).

  1. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for another side.

  1. Fill the axle with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU9920, "Differential Oil (Rear) Change"

End By:

  1. Install the final drive planetary.
  2. Install the rear axle.
