Correct Torque Required For Bolts In Rear Gear Groups; Specification Omitted From Some Service Manuals{1204,1237,7568}

Usage:

3500 Family Of Engines

The bolts used in the Rear Gear Group must be tightened according to specifications. However, the correct torque value for the 1A5822 Bolt was omitted from several publications. Both the left and the right hand stub shafts contain two of these bolts (1). The bolts secure idler shafts (2) to the cylinder block. The correct bolt torque is 135 ± 15 N·m (100 ± 11 lb ft). See the illustrations. Add this information to the Specification Modules and the Disassembly And Assembly Modules in the appropriate Service Manuals.
