The fan speed is reduced to minimum when the temperature of the engine coolant and the hydraulic oil is low. When the temperature reaches a certain level, the fan speed increases to provide more system cooling. If the temperature does not decrease, the fan speed is gradually increased until the temperature returns below the target temperature. If the signal is open, the fan will run to maximum.

(1) High Flow Solenoid

Illustration 6g02894245

The solenoid has a connector with two contacts. The solenoid ground is connected to the ECM through contact J2-4. The signal contact is connected to the ECM through contact J2-5.

When a high flow work tool is attached to the electrical work tool harness connector, the ECM energizes the high flow solenoid. When energized, the high flow solenoid will block flow to the standard system pressure relied valve. When the standard system pressure relief valve is blocked, the load sensing signal to the work tool pump is blocked. Without a load sensing signal, the system pressure is limited only by the work tool pump's high-pressure cutoff relief valve, which allows the system pressure to increase to high flow XPS or XHP level.

Travel Pilot ON/OFF Solenoid

Illustration 7g02754139

(1) Travel Pilot ON/OFF Solenoid

The travel pilot ON/OFF solenoid performs two roles related to the machine ability to travel.

The first function is to control pilot oil flow to the hydrostatic drive controllers. When the machine is first started, the travel pilot ON/OFF solenoid is de-energized and flow to the hydrostatic drive pump controller is blocked to prevent output flow to the drive motors. When the interlock seat and arm bar switches are closed and the parking brake is depressed, the ECM energizes the travel pilot ON/OFF solenoid and allows pilot oil to the drive pump controllers.

The second function the solenoid provides is control of the drive motor brakes. The brakes are applied by spring pressure and released hydraulically. In the absence of hydraulic pressure, the brakes will be normally applied by the spring pressure. When the interlock seat and arm bar switches are closed and the parking brake switch is depressed, the ECM energizes the travel pilot ON/OFF solenoid valve, which allows hydraulic oil to flow to the parking brakes overcoming the spring pressure and thereby disengaging the parking brakes.

When either the seat switch or arm bar switch are opened or the parking brake switch is placed in the set position, the ECM de-energizes the travel pilot ON/OFF solenoid to prevent machine travel. When the machine is NOT in park and the operator commands machine travel, the ECM energizes the solenoid valve to allow travel. When the ECM detects that the hystat has been in the NEUTRAL position for several seconds, the travel pilot ON/OFF solenoid valve will be de-energized to prevent undesired machine travel.

Two Speed Solenoid

Refer to Figure 8

The solenoid has a connector with two contacts. The solenoid ground is connected to the ECM through contact J2-4. The signal contact is connected to the ECM through contact J1-12. The two-speed switch sends a request to the ECM to have the two-speed solenoid activated. When the solenoid is energized, high speed travel is possible.

Backup Alarm

Refer To Figure 9.

When the machine is placed in reverse, contact J2-11 sends a signal to energize the relay and send power to the alarm circuit.

Fuel Pump

Refer To Figure 9.

The machine ECM energizes the coil of the relay for the fuel pump through contact J2-12.

Ride Control

Refer To Figure 9.

The ride control feature is enabled or disabled based on the ground speed of the machine. When enabled, contact J2-19 sends a signal to energize the relay and send power to the ride control solenoid.

Work Tool Trigger

Refer To Figure 9.

When the operator activates the work tool trigger, the relay is energized and power is sent to contact A of the work tool connector.

Work Tool C1 and C2

Refer To Figure 9.

When the operator activates the work tool switch, the relay is energized and power is sent to contact F of the work tool connector when the C1 button is pressed.

When the C2 button is pressed, the relay is energized and power is sent to contact E of the work tool connector.

C-Plus and C-Minus

Refer To Figure 9.

When the "Aux 4" button is pressed, contact J2-32 sends a signal to energize the "C+" relay. The relay supplies power to contact D of the work tool connector.

When the "Aux 3" button is pressed, contact J2-27 sends a signal to energize "C-" relay. The relay supplies power to contact C of the work tool connector.
