Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install - Multiple Oil Pan
Removal Procedure

- Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the proper draining and filling procedures.
- Remove hose (1) .

- Remove tee assembly (2) and the adapter assembly. Remove drain assembly (4) and the O-ring seal.
- Remove engine oil level sensor (3) .
- Remove hose (5) .

- Remove bolts (8) .
- Remove bolts (9) for oil pan (10). Use two people to remove oil pan (10). The weight of oil pan (10) is approximately 40 kg (88 lb).
Note: Remove and discard the gasket between oil pan (10) and oil pan (7) .
- Remove the remaining bolts (9) and remove oil pan (7) .
- Remove oil pan (6) from oil pan (7) .
- Remove gasket (11) .
Installation Procedure
- Install engine oil pan (6), oil pan (7), and oil pan (10) in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Install the engine oil pans as one assembly for final installation. Use to people to position the oil pan assembly. The approximate weight is 52 kg (115 lb).
Note: Make sure that all surfaces are free of containments. Trim excess gasket material from the gasket between oil pan (10) and oil pan (7) .
- Apply Tooling (A) to Locations (X) and over the ball and socket joints of gasket (11) .

- Tighten bolts (9) using the above sequence to a torque of 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft).
Note: Illustration 3 shows the tightening sequence for bolts (9). The directional arrow is pointing towards the front housing.
- Tighten bolts (9) again using the above sequence to a torque of 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft).
- Tighten engine oil level sensor (3) to a torque of 25 ± 1 N·m (221 ± 9 lb in).
