Removal Procedure

Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed. Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death. Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

1. Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto hood (1) .

2. Open door (2) .

3. Disconnect harness assembly (5). Remove valve (4) in order to relieve the pressure on cylinder (3) .

4. Remove pin (7). Secure cylinder (3) onto fuel tank (6) .

5. Close door (2) and install a bolt in order to secure door (2). Remove bolts (7). Remove hood (1). The weight of hood (1) is approximately 180 kg (400 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Install hood (1) in the reverse order of removal.
