(A) Protrusion of two dowels (2) from the surface of the differential housing (1) ... 3.60 ± 0.10 mm (0.142 ± 0.004 inch)

(B) Protrusion of four dowels (4) from the surface of the differential housing (1) ... 3.96 ± 0.05 mm (0.156 ± 0.002 inch)

(C) Protrusion of two dowels (6) from the surface of the differential housing (5) ... 3.60 ± 0.10 mm (0.142 ± 0.004 inch)

Note: Rotate roller bearing assembly (3) while you are tightening the nut (7). This procedure will ensure proper seating of rollers.

Note: Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Differential Pinion Bearing - Adjust" for the correct adjustment procedure.

(7) Torque for four nuts ... 70 ± 15 N·m (52 ± 11 lb ft)

(8) Torque for eight locknuts ... 395 ± 40 N·m (291 ± 30 lb ft)
