AccuGrade® GPS v11 for CD700 Caterpillar

Note: A mainfall sensor is required for blade pitch sensor operation. The mainfall sensor needs to be properly calibrated for the blade pitch sensor to operate correctly.

The motor grader must be setup with dual GPS, single GPS, or ATS in order to access the blade pitch calibration.

1. From any guidance screen, press the "Menu" soft key. Click the "Installation" soft key in order to access the "Machine Settings". Highlight "Machine Settings" and click the "OK" button. The "Machine Settings" dialog will appear. Ensure that all of the machine information is correctly set:

   • Machine name (alphanumeric name)

   • Machine type (Grader)

   • System type (dual GPS, single GPS, or ATS)

   • Left and right mast type (Fixed Mast)

   • Mainfall and Blade Pitch Sensor are checked (Yes)

   • Radio Type

   • Grade Control

   • Auto controls Range Limit

   • Light bar (Yes)

   If the parameters that are listed above are not set, then click the "Edit Machine" soft key and then go through the process in order to set each of these parameters. Refer to Illustration 1.

2. Click the "Config" soft key.

3. Scroll to "Calibrate Sensors" and highlight "Calibrate Sensors". Click the "OK" button. The "Calibrate Sensors" dialog will appear.

4. Highlight "Blade Pitch Sensor".

5. Click the "OK" button. The "Calibrate Pitch Sensor" dialog will appear.

6. Use a level in order to ensure that the mast that the blade pitch sensor is mounted on is vertical. Follow the instructions on the "Calibrate Pitch Sensor" dialog. The sensor will calibrate. Refer to Illustration 5.

7. After the sensor has calibrated, the display will return to the "Calibrate Sensors" dialog. Click the "Escape" button in order to return to the "Setup Menu - Configuration" dialog.

8. Go to the "Blade Roll" menu item under the "Configuration" menu in order to enable the use of Blade Roll. Select "Yes" in order to allow blade roll.
