NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


Note: Inspect the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets. Replace the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets that are worn or damaged.

Note: Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

  1. Install O-ring seal (20).

  2. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to install transmission and transfer gear (19). The weight of transmission and transfer gears (19) is approximately 2313 kg (5100 lb).

  3. Install nuts (16). Tighten nuts (16) to a torque of 430 ± 60 N·m (317 ± 44 lb ft).

  4. Use a suitable lifting device in order to install gear pump (15). The weight of gear pump (15) is approximately 35 kg (77 lb). Connect hose assembly (18) and hose assembly (17).

  5. Install the remaining nuts (16). Tighten the remaining nuts (16) to a torque of 430 ± 60 N·m (317 ± 44 lb ft).

  6. Connect hose assemblies (14).

  7. Connect hose assembly (13) onto the magnetic screen housing.

  8. Connect harness assembly (12). Install bolt (11). Tighten bolt (11 ) to a torque of 135 ± 20 N·m (100 ± 15 lb ft).

  9. Install guard (10) onto the speed sensor housing. Install bolts (9) and the grommets.

  10. Connect harness assembly (8) and install the connecting hardware.

  11. Connect hose assembly (7). Connect harness assembly (6) and install the connecting hardware. Connect hose assembly (5).

  12. Connect hose assemblies (4).

  13. Use a suitable lifting device in order to position drive shaft (2). The weight of drive shaft (2) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

  14. Extend drive shaft (2) and install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 550 ± 20 N·m (406 ± 15 lb ft).

  15. Remove the suitable blocking from the center tube.

  16. Install guard assembly (1).

  17. Fill the differential and final drive. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Differential and Final Drive Oil - Change".

  18. Fill the transmission . Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, " Transmission Tank Oil - Change".

End By:

  1. Remove the retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install".

  2. Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chocks (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
