The machine is equipped with a 25 kW generator. The generator may be belt driven or hydraulically driven. The generator provides power in order to operate the electric heaters for the screed. The generator also provides power to the power panel. Electrical outlets on the power panel provide power for tools and accessories.
For those machines that are equipped with a hydraulic generator, a variable displacement pump provides oil flow in order to operate a fixed displacement hydraulic motor. The hydraulic motor directly drives the generator. For those machines that are equipped with a belt driven generator, the generator is driven by a belt that is directly driven by the engine.
