Water system components

Typical example

(1) Inlet port

(2) Strainer assembly

When the water spray pump is operating, water is drawn from the supply truck through inlet port (13) and strainer assembly (14). The water spray pump sends filtered water through the flow transmitter and to the spray nozzles. The strainer assembly should be serviced daily. A plugged strainer can cause erratic flow and/or pump cavitation.

Note: The water system does not have a recirculation option.

Water valve

Typical example

(3) Spray cylinder

(4) Water valve

Spray cylinder (3) for the water system is located in the outlet line from the water pump. Spray cylinder (3) controls water valve (4). When the cylinder is extended, the valve is closed. When the cylinder is retracted, the valve is open.

(5) Water spray bar

(6) Nozzles

(7) Shutoff valve

Water spray bar (5) is located on the top of the mixing chamber. Sixteen nozzles (6) are evenly spaced along the spray bar. Each nozzle is equipped with shutoff valve (7). Individual nozzles can be manually closed in order to change the width of the spray bar.
