Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the electric fan (hydraulic oil tank). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electric Fan (Hydraulic Oil Tank) - Remove and Install".

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

1. Remove the nut and disconnect harness assembly (2) from alternator (1) .

2. Remove the nut and disconnect cable assembly (3) from alternator (1) .

3. Loosen bolt (4) and bolt (6). Move alternator (1) toward the engine and remove V-belt (5) from alternator (1) .

4. Remove bolt (4), bolt (6), and alternator (1) .

1. Install alternator (1), bolt (6) and bolt (4) loosely.

2. Install V-belt (5) on alternator (1). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct belt tension. Tighten bolt (4) and bolt (6) .

3. Connect cable assembly (3) to alternator (1) and install the nut.

4. Connect harness assembly (2) to alternator (1) and install the nut.

End By: Install the electric fan (hydraulic oil tank). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electric Fan (Hydraulic Oil Tank) - Remove and Install".
