(1) Torque for three bolts that secures the bracket that supports the speedometer ... 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in)
Speed Sensor
Note: The following is a procedure for installing the speed sensor.
- Run the machine without the speed sensor (2) until one of the four corners of the square nut faces the hole for the sensor.
- Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the threads of the speed sensor (2) .
- Screw the speed sensor (2) until the sensor touches the square nut. Unscrew approximately one turn.
- Gap between the speed sensor (2) and the shaft 1.5 ± 0.5 mm (0.06 ± 0.02 inch)
- The nut that secures the speed sensor (2) should be torqued to 16 ± 1 N·m (140 ± 10 lb in).
