Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Steering and Vibratory) - Remove".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

1. Remove bolts (2) and separate section (4) from section (3) and housing (1) .

2. Use a suitable press and remove shaft (5) from section (4) .

3. Use Tooling (A) and remove clip (7) .

4. Use a suitable press and remove bearing (6) from shaft (5) .

5. Remove dowel pins (9) and O-ring seal (8) from section (3) .

6. Separate section (3) from housing (1) .

7. Turn over section (3) and remove O-ring seal (10) .

8. Remove guide pins (11) from housing (1) .

9. Remove gear set (12) from housing (1) .

10. Remove shaft (17) from gear (16) .

11. Remove plates (14) and (15) .

12. Remove seals (18) and (19) from plate (14) .

13. Repeat Step 12 on plate (15) .
