Start By:

  1. Remove the bucket linkage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket Linkage - Remove and Install".

  2. Remove the bucket cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket Cylinder - Remove and Install".

  1. Fully extend the extendable stick and place the stick on Tooling (A).

  2. Release the pressure in the hydraulic oil system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

  3. Remove bolts (1) and bracket (2).

  4. Remove bolts (5). Place bracket (4) and hose assemblies (3) onto the boom.

  5. Remove bolts (7) and cover (6).

  6. Place suitable cribbing (9) under the rod end of extendable stick cylinder (8).

  7. Remove pin (10). Remove suitable cribbing (9) that was installed in the previous step. Fully retract the extendable stick cylinder.

  8. Install pin (11) that held the head end of the bucket cylinder. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to extendable stick (12). The weight of extendable stick (12) is approximately 340 kg (750 lb). Loosen bolts (13) in order to loosen the wear pads. Remove bolts (15) and remove block (14). Remove bolts (16).

  9. Remove bolts (17).

  10. Remove extendable stick (12). Pad (18) will remain with the stick.

  11. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove bearing (19). Use Tooling (C) in order to remove bearing (20).

  1. Lower the temperature of bearings (19) and (20). Use Tooling (E) in order to install bearings (19) and (20).

  2. Be sure that pad (18) is in the correct position.

  3. Install pin (11) that held the head end of the bucket cylinder. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to extendable stick (12). The weight of extendable stick (12) is approximately 340 kg (750 lb). Install extendable stick (12). Tighten bolts (13) in order to tighten the wear pads.

  4. Install block (14). Install bolts (15). Install bolts (16).

  5. Position suitable cribbing (9) and extend stick cylinder (8).

  8. Place bracket (4) and hose assemblies (3) into position and install bolts (5).

End By:

  1. Install the bucket cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket Cylinder - Remove and Install".

  2. Install the bucket linkage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket Linkage - Remove and Install"
