Warning Categories
The monitoring system provides four warning categories. Warning Category 1 requires only operator awareness. Warning Category 2 needs operator response. A Warning Category 2S is a severe condition. A Category 2S requires an immediate change in machine operation in order to prevent damage to the machine. Warning Category 3 requires immediate shutdown of the machine.
Warning Category 1
For the brake system, when a Warning Category 1 occurs, the monitoring system causes an alert indicator to turn ON.
(2) Parking brake indicator - The parking brake is engaged and the transmission is in neutral. The alert indicator should flash during start-up. The alert indicator should go out when the parking brake is released. |
Warning Category 2
For the brake system, when a Warning Category 2 occurs, the monitoring system causes one or more alert indicators to turn ON. A Warning Category 2 also causes master action light (4) to flash.
A Warning Category 2 will occur in the following situation:
(1) Hydraulic oil temperature gauge - The gauge indicates hydraulic oil temperature. If the gauge needle is in the red area, reduce the load on the system. If the gauge needle remains in the red area, stop the machine and investigate the cause of the fault. |
A Warning Category 2 needs operator response to the problem. A change in the machine operation is required in order to reduce excessive temperature.
Warning Category 2S
For the brake system, when a Warning Category 2S occurs, the monitoring system causes one or more alert indicators to flash. The monitoring system also causes master action light (4) to flash. The action alarm also sounds. A Warning Category 2S is a severe condition that requires an immediate change in machine operation in order to prevent damage to the machine. A Warning Category 2S is logged.
(2) Parking brake indicator - The alert indicator will flash if the operator shifts the transmission out of NEUTRAL position and the parking brake is engaged. Disengage the parking brake before shifting the transmission out of the NEUTRAL position. |
(2) Parking brake indicator - If the parking brake indicator flashes DURING machine operation, the parking brake has engaged. Stop the machine immediately. Shift the transmission to NEUTRAL. Put the parking brake control knob in the engaged position. Stop the engine and investigate the cause of the fault. |
Warning Category 3
For the brake system, when a Warning Category 3 occurs, the monitoring system causes one or more alert indicators to flash. The monitoring system also causes master action light (4) to flash. The action alarm also sounds.
A Warning Category 3 will occur during the following situation:
(3) Brake oil pressure indicator - If this alert indicator flashes during machine operation, the brake oil pressure is low. The parking brake will automatically be engaged when the pressure is low. Shift the transmission to NEUTRAL. Stop the machine immediately and put the parking brake control knob in the engaged position. Stop the engine and investigate the cause of the fault. |
When a Warning Category 3 occurs during machine operation, investigate the cause of the warning before returning the machine to service.
Note: Do NOT operate the machine until the cause of the warning has been corrected.
