Installation Procedure

- Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to refrigerant condenser and fans (4). Use the suitable lifting device in order to position refrigerant condenser and fans (4) on the machine. The weight of refrigerant condenser and fans (4) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).

- Install bolts (6) that hold refrigerant condenser and fans (4) to the cab.
- Connect hoses (2) and (5) .
- Connect harness assemblies (1) and (3) .
- Remove Tooling (A) .
- Charge the air conditioning system. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134A Refrigerant"and Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air Conditioning Tools". The publications will provide the proper procedure, equipment and tools in order to charge the air conditioning system in any Caterpillar machine.
End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
