Description of Change: A new differential pressure switch is used in order to detect plugging of the filter for the case drain on 797 and 797B Off-Highway Trucks. This switch is also used on the filter for the steering oil on 797B Off-Highway Trucks. The new switch improves service life in both applications.

Adaptable To: The 253-2673 Pressure Switch has replaced the 117-7773 Pressure Switch .

The 253-2673 Pressure Switch is adaptable to the following machines:

• 797 (S/N: 5YW1-UP)

• 797B (S/N: JSM1-UP)

• 797B (S/N: JSM220-UP)

Note: When you install the 253-2673 Pressure Switch, ensure that the wiring for the switch is securely fastened within 150 mm (5.9 inch) of the body of the switch. This will reduce motion of the wiring. This reduces fatigue of the wire.
