Boom Kickout Mechanism - Remove
Removal Procedure
- Remove bolts (1), the washers, and cover (2) .

- Disconnect harness assembly (3). Remove bolts (4) and sensor (5) .

- Attach a suitable lifting device to pin assembly (6). The combined weight of the kickout mechanism and pin assembly (6) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

- Remove bolts (7) and the washers.

- Carefully slide kickout mechanism (8) to the minimum distance that is needed to install a second suitable lifting device to the kickout mechanism.

- Remove bolts (9), the washers, and pin assembly (6) .

- Position kickout mechanism (8) into a suitable press in order to remove the cotter pin, nut (10) and the washer.

- Once the spring tension has been released, remove collar (11) and rod assembly (13) from spring (12) .
Note: When spring (11) is compressed, Dimension (X) should be 714 ± 3 mm (28.1 ± 0.1 inch). The free length of spring (11) is 748 mm (29.4 inch).
