Start By:
- Release the oil pressure in the hydraulic system. For additional information, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".
- Remove the radiator group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Group - Remove".
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin. |

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
Note: Put identification on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes. Use caps and plugs on all lines, hoses, and tubes in order to prevent fluid loss or contamination of the systems.
- Remove the harness assembly and the hose (1) that is routed to the reserve tank assembly for the engine coolant. Disconnect clips (2) and (3) . Remove side bracket (4) .

- Remove two side brackets (5) .

- Remove four bolts (6) on the bottom of the hydraulic oil cooler and radiator. Two bolts are located on each side of the hydraulic oil cooler and radiator.

- Install Tooling (A). Install a suitable lifting device, as shown. Pivot one end of hydraulic oil cooler and radiator (7) outward in order to clear the bolts on the link bracket. Remove the hydraulic oil cooler and the radiator. The weight of the hydraulic oil cooler and radiator is approximately 175 kg (385 lb).
