(1) Apply Loctite 609 to the seal groove prior to assembly. Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with the lubricant being sealed.
(2) Lubricate the threads prior to installing the nut.
- Torque for the nut ... 18000 ± 800 N·m (13280 ± 590 lb ft)
(3) Diameter of a new piston ... 253 ± 0.03 mm (9.96 ± 0.0012 inch)
(4) Bore of a new cylinder tube ... 254.0 + 0.13 - 0.05 mm (10.000 + 0.005 - 0.002 inch)
(5) Diameter of a new rod ... 139.64 ± 0.038 mm (5.4980 ± 0.0015 inch)
(6) Bore of a new cylinder head ... 139.98 ± 0.03 mm (5.511 ± 0.0012 inch)
(7) Apply Loctite 7649 and then apply Loctite 263 to the threads of the bolts prior to assembly.
- Torque for the eight bolts ... 1800 ± 200 N·m (1400 ± 150 lb ft)
(8) Apply Loctite 609 to the seal groove prior to assembly. Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with the lubricant being sealed.
(9) Apply Loctite 7649 and then apply Loctite 263 to the threads of the bolts prior to assembly.
- Torque for the six bolts ... 100 ± 15 N·m (75 ± 11 lb ft)
(10) (11) Lubricate the sealing lips with a small amount of the lubricant that is being sealed.
(12) Apply Loctite 609 to the wiper seal groove prior to assembly. Lubricate the sealing lips with a small amount of the lubricant that is being sealed.
