Before extending or retracting the track frames, be sure to keep all other people away from the machine. Always use two or more people to do this work. Perform machine movements only after getting signals from a signal man. The automatic engine speed control (AEC) switch must be in the OFF position and the travel speed switch must be in the LOW position. Never make a sudden movement of the front equipment. When operating the front equipment, slowly activate the controls with extra care. |

Before starting adjustment of the track frames, clean the contacting areas of the car body and track frames, and their mounting bolts. Prior to installing the bolts, apply Anti-Seize Compound to the underside of the head and to the threads of the bolts. |

Park the machine on a hard, level surface.
Retract the track frames one at a time.
- Position the machine with the front at a right angle to the track frame that is being retracted, as shown.
- Stop the engine.

Note: When you move track frame (3) in order to retract the overall width, do not loosen four bolts (7) that are for the guide.

800 N·m (590 lb ft) in order to align the track frame. Install ten bolts (4), ten washers (5) and ten spacers (6). Tighten the bolts to a torque of1600 ± 200 N·m (1180 ± 148 lb ft) .Note: Store four spacers (6) in the storage compartment for future use.
- Repeat Steps 1 through 8 for the other track frame.

Park the machine on a hard, level surface.

- Remove ten bolts (4), ten washers (5) and ten spacers (6). Remove two bolts (9), two washers (5), and two spacers (8). The bolts hold track frame (3) to carbody (2).

- Apply a downward pressure with the boom in order to slightly raise the track.
