Relief Valve Pressure (Clutch) - Test and Adjust

Usage:

PM-201 PNM

------ WARNING! ------

Injury to personnel can result if they are not in the operator's view. Allow only essential personnel near the machine, and make sure the personnel are in the operator's view when testing, to prevent injury. Make sure checks are done in an open area.

----------------------

------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.

Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.

To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.

----------------------

------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.

Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.

Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

  1. Make sure that water spray switch (9) is in the OFF position.

    NOTICE

Make sure that the conveyor will not contact any obstacles when the machine is raised.

  1. If necessary, use conveyor joystick (7) in order to lower the conveyor.

  1. Move elevation control switch (8) (all legs) to the RAISE position. Release the switch when the machine is completely raised.

  1. Move throttle switch (10) to the LOW IDLE position.

  1. Move engine hood switch (6) to the RAISE position. Hold the switch until the hood is completely open.

  1. Install Tool (C) on tap (13) . Use Tool (B) in order to connect Tool (C) to Tool (A) .

  1. Move key switch (5) to the START position. Release the key switch when the engine starts.

  1. Operate the engine for a few minutes at low idle. Move throttle control switch (10) to the HIGH IDLE position. The engine speed should increase to 2250 rpm.

  1. Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (D) . Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches a minimum of 40 °C (104 °F).

  1. Read the pressure on Tool (A) . The pressure should be 1725 ± 69 kPa (250 ± 10 psi).

  1. Stop the engine. If the pressure is outside the specified range, go to Step 21. If the pressure is inside the specified range, go to Step 23.
