- Stop the machine on level ground. Stop the machine in an area away from the mat. If it is necessary to park the machine on a grade, block the tires securely.
Note: When you use the fuel spray hose, do not spray the fuel on the following components: hydraulic hoses, electrical connections and electrical cables.
- Connect the spraydown hose to the connection for the spraydown hose (1). Pull out the necessary amount of hose.
With each use, the fuel spray hose will need to be connected and disconnected.
Note: If your machine is equipped with a hose reel for the spraydown, the hose reel is already connected to the fuel supply. The wand for the spraydown will need to be connected to the hose reel in order to clean the machine.

Note: If your machine is equipped with an electric heater for the screed, the fuel shutoff valves for the screed burners will not be equipped on your screed.
- Close the shutoff valves for the screed burners (2). There are a total of four shutoff valves for the screed burners. There are two shutoff valves on the left side of the screed and there are two shutoff valves on the right side of the screed.
Note: Do not operate the screed burners while you clean the machine.
- Move the screed fuel pump switch to the SPRAYDOWN position.
Note: The screed fuel pump switch is located on the right side of the screed on the operator control panel.
- Pull the trigger in order to start the spraydown. Release the trigger in order to stop the spraydown.
- Clean the entire length of the conveyor drive chains, the covers for the chain, the slats, and the drag pan. Spray the entire length of auger. Clean both sides of the auger bearings. Spray the inside of the hopper and the push rollers. Clean the screed plates, the end gates, and any component that has been in contact with asphalt. Finally, clean any grease fittings, hinges, or bearings that have been in contact with asphalt.
- Move the screed fuel pump switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the spraydown hose when machine cleanup is complete. If the machine is equipped with a hose reel, retract the spraydown hose onto the reel and disconnect the wand.

The screed could fall. In order to avoid possible personal injury, extend the screed travel locks whenever the screed is raised. |
