Trace Drop-Down Menu

The "Trace" menu appears when you select a "Profile" window.

Overview

The functions that are available under the "Trace" drop-down menu are listed below:

  • Adding a Trace to the "Profile" window

  • Removing a Trace from the "Profile" window

Refer to the following sections for detailed instructions on these functions.

Add a Trace

Purpose

The "Add" function allows you to add a Trace of a particular category to the "Profile" window.

Instructions

Perform the following steps in order to add a Trace to the "Profile" window:

  1. Open the "Trace" drop-down menu.

  1. Select "Add" from the "Trace" drop-down menu.

    The "Add Profile Trace" dialog which is shown in Illustration 2 appears.

  1. Select a category for the Trace from the "Category" drop-down menu.

  1. Click the "OK" button in order to add the Trace to the "Profile" window or click the "Cancel" button in order to exit the "Add Profile Trace" dialog box without adding any Trace to the "Profile" window.

Remove a Trace

Purpose

The "Remove" function allows you to delete a "Trace" of a particular "Category" from the"Profile" window.

Instructions

Perform the following steps in order to delete a Trace from the "Profile" window:

  1. Open the "Trace" drop-down menu.

  1. Select "Remove" from the "Trace" drop-down menu. The "Remove Profile Trace" dialog which is shown in Illustration 3 appears.

  1. Select the category of the Trace from the "Category" drop-down menu.

  1. Click the "OK" button in order to delete the Trace of the particular category from the "Profile" window or click the "Cancel" button in order to exit the dialog box without deleting a Trace from the "Profile" window.
