Equipment Lowering with Engine Stopped
Make sure that all personnel are clear of the machine before manually lowering the screed.
- Insert the key and turn the battery disconnect switch clockwise to the ON position. The battery disconnect switch is located on the left side of the machine and inside the rear compartment. The battery disconnect switch is located next to the fuel tank.

Illustration 4 g01127261 - Locate the screed hoist controls (3). There are two screed hoist controls (3) on the machine. One control is located on the left operator station (4) and one control is located on the right operator station (5).
- Move both screed hoist controls (3) to the center HOLD position.
- Move screed counterbalance control (1) upward to the ON position. Screed counterbalance control (1) is located on the main center console.
- Move both switches for the screed hoist control (3) to the DOWN position. This will lower the screed.
- Once the screed is completely lowered, move either one of the screed hoist controls (3) back to the center HOLD position. The other screed hoist control should remain in the DOWN position.
- Move screed counterbalance control (1) downward to the OFF position.
