The steering hydraulic system is made up of two circuits: the pilot circuit and the high pressure circuit.
The main components of the pilot circuit are: hydraulic tank (34), pilot and braking pump (35), pilot relief valve (31), selector and pressure control valve (24), implement and steering solenoid valve (3), STIC steering pilot valve (22), steering neutralizer valves (19) and (23) and steering control valve (9).
The main components of the high pressure circuit are: hydraulic tank (34), steering pump (36), steering control valve (9), steering cylinder (1) and steering cylinder (2), hydraulic oil cooler (20) and hydraulic filters (33).

(33) Hydraulic filters (behind cover) (34) Hydraulic tank (37) Hydraulic tank filler cap |
Hydraulic tank (34) is located behind the guard on the right side of the machine. Remove hydraulic tank filler cap (37) to add hydraulic oil to hydraulic tank (34). Hydraulic filters (33) are located in hydraulic tank (34). If the oil restriction through hydraulic filters (33) is too high (hydraulic filters too dirty), a filter bypass valve in the tank will open and allow oil to bypass the hydraulic filters and return to the hydraulic tank.

(36) Steering pump |
The hydraulic system has a two section gear type pump. The two pump sections are: steering pump (36) and pilot and braking pump (35). The pumps use the hydraulic tank as a common reservoir.
The pump is mounted on the torque converter updrive housing and is driven by a gear inside the updrive housing. Steering pump (36) supplies oil for the operation of the steering system to articulate the machine.
Pilot and braking pump (35) supplies oil for the parking brake circuit and the service brake circuit. Pilot and braking pump (35) also supplies pilot oil for the steering circuit and implement circuit.
