Cat HYDO Advanced 10 Oil Change Interval

The standard Cat HYDO Advanced 10 oil change interval is every 3000 service hours or 18 months.

A 6000 service hour or 3 year maintenance interval for hydraulic oil (change) is available. The extended interval requires S·O·S monitoring of the hydraulic oil. The interval for S·O·S monitoring is every 500 hours. The maintenance interval for the hydraulic oil filter is not changed.

1. Remove the hydraulic tank cap.

2. Connect a hose to the hydraulic oil tank drain valve. The drain valve is located on the bottom of the hydraulic oil tank.

   Note: The hydraulic oil tank contains 60 L (16 US gal) of hydraulic oil. Drain the oil into a suitable container. Dispose of the used oil in a proper manner.

   Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information" for information that pertains to containing fluid spillage.

3. Close the hydraulic oil tank drain valve. Remove the hose.

4. Refill the hydraulic tank with clean, filtered hydraulic oil. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" and refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for more information.

5. Add the oil through the filler tube. Clean the cap and install the cap.

6. Maintain the oil level at the center of the upper sight gauge.
